Clash of Structures: Why the West Cannot See Islam Clearly

This essay argues that radical Islam speaks from a deficient mythic structure while the modern West is trapped in a deficient mental one, so they literally talk past each other. It suggests the West must recover its own symbolic depth and grow an integral culture, rather than trying to manage mythic forces with policy, procedures and “tolerance” alone.
