Hi. I’m Christina Archbold.

My career began with a deep immersion in the mental-rational structure. I trained in law, and after giving up trying to be a barrister, I pivoted into technology. This path led me to specialise in legal IT, taking me to the very heart of the “deficient-mental” world: working for global “Magic Circle” law firms in the City of London.

I was building systems for maximum efficiency in an environment of high-stakes, analytical abstraction. It’s a powerful and necessary way of seeing, but I felt a growing dissonance. The world I felt—the world of myth, meaning, and soul—was not the world of contracts, litigation and the £800 an hour fees the partners worked for. We eventually parted company.

The “epiphany” didn’t come from a plan. It came, as these things often do, from a complete bolt-from-the-blue “irruption.”

I was doing some digital marketing work for a medium when, during a session, she “saw” a medieval monk with me. He was holding a huge book and said I could call him Albert. I had a hunch his name would be Latin, so on the bus home I looked up “Albertus” and found Albertus Magnus — the 13th-century philosopher who, among other things, founded the university in Cologne. In the accompanying photo I saw a modern statue of him outside that university… clutching a huge book.

Back at home I started doing some research on him during which an advert popped up on my screen for a Master’s programme I had never heard of: “Myth, Cosmology, and the Sacred.”

It was a synchronicity so perfect, so utterly “non-mental,” that I couldn’t ignore it. That Masters set me off on this study, and consciousness became my true focus. It connected all the threads: my mental training (Law, my work as an ardent technologist) with the mythic and magical structures I’d always explored as a professional tarot reader and a student of alchemy.

Today, I’m diving deeply into AI, which I see as part of the exact same story—the next great “irruption” of consciousness, for better or worse.

This site is the result of that “listening.”

This site is the long-form response to the call that began with Albert. It’s a space to move from the fragment to the Field, and to follow the emergence of an integral way of seeing that is trying to be born. Through the “Diagnosing the World” essays, we name the spell we’re under; through “Integral Practice”, we begin to break it. And for those with a more philosophical turn of mind, you’ll also find the ontology that underpins it all.

Today, I live with my husband and our dog, Bonnie, in an old Arts & Crafts Kirk on the Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland.
